Noticeably, high school students are less interested in some subjects in the secondary school; and this can be attributed in a way to their engagement to computers and internet. They allot less time with these subjects.

For instance, they are not so interested with plants or horticulture and animals. They take Agriculture for granted. They spend more time, surfing the net for their research, projects, term paper in other subjects.

Upon hearing the word “Agriculture”, they think of planting vegetables under the sun, in addition they also dislike studying about animals. With this context, teachers generally look for strategies in teaching Agriculture to prepare the students in acquiring different skills and competencies. They think of ways to stimulate student’s interest and motivation that will lead to improved achievement. These strategies should be innovative to be remember and used by students in the future. The strategies that can be used are: Actual presentation of the lesson with the help of internet. For instance, apart for the classroom discussion, students may the systematic process and techniques of grafting and crop rotation and production. Another strategy is Cooperative Learning, the teacher engages the students to discuss a lesson cooperatively. The teacher may also accompany students with their parents in a plantation with a ready-made questionnaire to the plantation owner.

There are many more strategies to be utilized by the teacher, so that students will be motivated.
