Catching the full attention of learners is one of struggles of teachers in the modern time and this should be resolved by employing ways which would motivate the students.
To motivate the learners the following suggestions may be considered:
The learners should realize the practical value of education. It will be easy to motivate them if they know the essence of what they are doing. The core of education should be emphasized for the learners to be stimulated further.
The learners should realize the fun in learning. The teacher has the sole responsibility to the make learning experiences of the students dynamic and enjoyable. Expose the students to more active undertakings which will necessitate the use of bodily faculties. In this way, the students may think and move and this will create fun.
The learners should consider that having embraced learning will lead to the acquisition of various skills. Whether mental skills or bodily skills, the learners could avail of them. If they see that what they are doing is for their development and progress therefore motivating them is much better.
The learners must be properly informed by the teacher that the school is a training ground for further studies and larger activities. The learners are in school in order to be well-equipped and that is why they should realize that they should take the lessons seriously and be more engrossed in class activities.
The learners should know the fact that studying now has future outcomes. Whatever you do today will define your future. The teachers should guide the students in all their undertakings and tell them the benefits of these to their future in order to motivate them.
The learners should be encouraged to become the productive members of the society. The teachers should further elaborate to these students that if they learn in school therefore they become fruitful and be a deserving member of the place where they live.
The learner should ponder that studying leads to a better and brighter life. The teacher should convey to the students the paybacks that education may bring in the near future.
Motivating the learners is important for them to indulge themselves fully in studying. It is essential that teachers should win their attention not for the sake of the students but for the betterment of the students.
Motivation is the key to better learners. Have it considered! It is a must that we capture the students’ attention despite of the obstacles that we are facing nowadays due to modernization and external factors.
