To define a lifelong friend, this is one person or a small collection of people who have and will continue to contribute to the happiness of my life and I do the same for them. A simple “BEST FRIEND” of mine.
“Lifelong friendship” or “best friends,” who plays a different role in adding value to my life, and vice versa, a person who plays the role of my oldest friend and another who may be my dearest friend. This distinction could be divided into who you I known the longest versus who I value most. It could be the difference between the length of the relationship versus the quality of it.
Lifelong friends can help to look at the current group of people who are connected to you. Some people will play different parts, based on their physical closeness to you; others can be far away but still closer, emotionally, than a good friend in your hometown.
Well, my own version of a lifelong friend is someone that I connect with, whom I think, he or she will be my friend/s forever. Someone who knows you and whom you know and you just accept each other for who you are and make time for each other when you need to. You may have lots of good friends throughout your life but will probably have very few lifelong friends. They are a true gift!
