The public always says “Teachers mold the totality of the learners.” This belief puts teachers on hot seat for they should play a vital role in developing children’s knowledge and skills which is definitely true and we are aware of it.But sometimes the efforts exerted by the educators were taken for granted especially if the case involves the result of the achievement of the learners. But isn’t unfair that it seems like we are always on blame after the several times of remedial classes, extended time and even the simplest enrichments we have done for the children just to reach our goal to have the mastery of the learning towards the quality of education?
Relaying on the quoted sentence may fall many of us into conclusion that teachers alone serves as the major factor which causes the result of educational status in the past and in the present.If only the public learn to open wide their eyes and mind, analyze the learning situations inside the school premises, they will probably notice and understand that we are not the sole factor why the quality of our education is not that easy to achieve. Consider also the availability of the resources to execute the lessons in a more realistic way.
This may not be the right time to find fault on who’s to be blame but instead the school and the community should work together hand in hand to make every learner a performing pupil and a responsible individual of the community. Find more ways to solve the problem. Accept the fact that though we are the instrument of teaching still the pupils themselves, the environment, the community and the people of the state as well as the media and the technology are also accountablein achieving the quality of education.
