MY TEACHER, MY HERO

Teacher of today, teacher of tomorrow How I wish, you’ll not be in sorrow Despite the demanding day of work You stay to stop for a talk. To enlighten children of today, That they have to stay to gain. To make them happy all day, And say nothing but thanks. You are the mother…

Teacher of today, teacher of tomorrow

How I wish, you’ll not be in sorrow

Despite the demanding day of work

You stay to stop for a talk.

To enlighten children of today,

That they have to stay to gain.

To make them happy all day,

And say nothing but thanks.

You are the mother and the father,

The friend and a partner

For every endeavor they have

In school where they love.

You make them laugh and cry

To your stories and homilies.

When you get angry you try

To explain them the reasons why.

You are the doctor when they’re sick

You come to them quick

For they may be hurt or injured

Your magic touch will fix.

You sacrifice everything,

Even your time for leaving

For they need you every minute, everyday

To help them make their day

You are a living hero,

For you know how to help

Without expecting something

That will provide you wealth.
