Technology plays a vital role nowadays. It makes our communication, transportation and our lives easier now, even also in education. These 6 new and emerging technology in education namely cloud computing, mobile technology, gaming, open content, learning analytics, and personal learning environment do not only help us to teach old stuff in new ways instead they teach us the new stuff in new ways. These technologies are already demonstrating how they affect the way we think, learn, and interact. They also increased the collaboration, strategy and decision making for overcoming challenges in order to achieve successful learning experiences.

Technology can have a reciprocal relationship with teaching. The emergence of new technology pushes educators to understand and leverage these technologies for classroom use; at the same time, according to the Games Sims Soc Nets, the on-the-ground implementation of these technologies in classroom can directly impact how these technologies continue to take shape the learner’s mind. Teachers used different technology even then: typewriter, televisions, calculators, or personal computers, they always have to find meaningful ways on how they will incorporate these technologies into the classroom. Technologies are already here, there’s no way out not to give attention to them; they are built to help and give knowledge not only for the teachers and students but also to everyone. The right thing to do is to evaluate first the technology that you’re planning to use if they can increase the abilities of the students inside and outside of the classroom.

These technologies such as cloud computing, mobile technology, gaming, open content, learning analytics, and personal learning environment are not yet introduce to the students where I’m conducting my field study. But the students are searching their assignments in an open content site like Wikipedia.
