There are times that the pupils think and feel that the teacher is not fair or objective and much worst, there is favoritism.

But this notion should be rectified.  It is the right time to prove to our dear educational clientele that teachers are always objective and fair in all school practices most especially in dealing with the learners.

Without discrimination, a teacher should be able to show objectivity and fairness first in the regular classroom setting.  By simply calling names either for recitation and other activities, the teacher must be absolutely objective and fair.

In terms of the grading system, the teacher must give objective and fair grades and remarks to students and should not be influenced by subjectivity.  The students would see if the teacher is fair or not most especially on the tests and activities that require the teacher’s personal judgment.

Also, in dealing with the student, the teacher must be fair and objective enough to show equality and by means of this, he/she would be objective and fair.

Regardless of the gender, religion and socio-economic status, the teacher must be away from prejudices that may offend the students most especially in the critical situations of making decisions and verdicts.

It is not enough that we say that we are objective to our students but instead this can be shown in dealing with them in various times and situations.

Our sense of credibility will be seen if we are objective and fair.
