The life of the teacher is full of responsibility aside from the duties of teaching, guiding and testing, he plays the role of being a parent to the pupils. He has services vital for the welfare of every pupil. He guards the health, moral and well-being of the pupil with intelligent care. He should be alert to discover physical defects of the pupils and prompt to inform the parents so that relief maybe offered.

It is also the duty of the teacher to keep close touch with parents to inform them of the progress or any serious misconduct of their children and all of other matters of vital interest to them.

The teacher should also be an active member of the community. He should avoid behavior than conflict community standards. He must live with respect and courtesy. He must have a close relationship with the people of the community tp promote functional modern education,

The teacher should also sustain and dignify the teaching profession engaging himself in the professional improvement. He should have active support to any group that is sincerely concerned with improving the quality of teaching and learning.

It is also the teachers’ duty to help his associates by giving constructive advice and helpful suggestions. He should protect the welfare of every teacher. He should help build harmonious relationship with them.

The teacher should never neglect the responsibility to his health. He as to keep himself fit to render good service to the society. He must be physically healthy, mentally alert, emotionally stable, and morally upright. He must know his strength and limitations, his capabilities and interests in order that he may develop them for the best interest of the pupil.
