Looking in the mirror, I saw myself with stretch marks on my tummy and the lines on my forehead; suddenly the winds of emotion came into me and remembered every single details of the past. I smiled. I am a mother of one simple child, a bright one, to whom I should be careful of anything that comes out of my mouth and be a role model to him becausewe, parents, influence them great. God fearing, kind, intelligent and behave are some characteristics or qualities I must have even though I know that it is somehow hard. Our children shouldn’t be viewed as empty bottles to be filled but candles to be lit. According to Proverbs 22:6 we have to – “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Everything we say and teach our children is inculcated in their hearts and minds, so we should always be good parents to them and for them.

In its truest sense, as parents, we should be the best teachers in every way. Researchers say there are three types of learners, the visual learners, the auditory learners, and lastly, the kinesthetic learners. As parents we must know which one fits our children. In the long run this technique will surely contribute in the advancement of the children’s development in all aspects of their lives.
