Reading seems to be visible in most schools. The Phil-IRI revealed the figures of non-readers in every school and grade level. Teachers use the flexibility period to help the non-readers in their class. How about the parents? What is the vital role in developing reading skills of their children?
As the saying goes two heads are better than one so teacher plus parents make a perfect partner in the reading development of their children.
Parents play a vital role in the development of reading skill and habit of their children. The meaningful involvement of parents as teachers to their children is indispensable not only in educating them in with moral values but also in the development of intellectual abilities of the children and formation of reading habits.
Parents no matter how busy should find time for their children to read in order to be efficient and skilled readers. Consistent reading develops the skills among the children. They will also feel and take that time a bonding moment. Children will no longer fear of reading and they will find it fun and exciting activity. At the same time parents feel proud of their achievements that they become a part of their children learning, who knows maybe someday their child become one of the leader of the country and that is because of being a good reader.
A good reader is a good leader.
