A teacher under the K to 12 Program must learn to apply the pedagogy of the new curriculum to be used in the teaching and learning process.

The pedagogy of the new curriculum includes the following:

Constructivist.  The teacher should give the learners the chance to construct their own ideas in the actual teaching-learning process.  In this way, the learners will make use of their own knowledge in understanding of what the teacher taught by means of the experiences that they learned in school.  In this way, you are teaching them to be independent in dealing with the challenges in the field of education which will sharpen and enhance their minds and skills.

Inquiry-Based.  The teacher should lead the learners to be inquisitive.  By means of research and looking for information and sources they will be able to prove the credibility and objectivity of the information being given to them.  They will be more critical not just absorbing information or data. The validity and reliability of the facts or knowledge must truly be seen and realized by the learners.

Reflective. The teacher should encourage the learners to self-observation and self-evaluation.  In this way, they will be able to reflect on their strengths and weaknesses.  They will be able to contemplate on achieving much higher aspirations not only for themselves but also for others. Being given a chance to reflect would be a good process of evaluating the actions and words theyexpressed and to eventually realize their meaning and value.

Collaborative. The teacher should initiate dynamic, worthwhile and interactive activities and teamwork.  It is a good habit that we emphasize the value of sharing our brilliant ideas together in order to come up with much better outputs which are the products of great minds most especially in the teaching-learning situation.

Integrative. The teacher must stress out that the learners should learn to link and relate the knowledge in school to other subject or topic areas and to the real life situations or to the real world. By having the practical application of the knowledge in school, the learners will be able to realize the worth of these knowledge.

A teacher under the K to 12 Program must uphold the given pedagogy most especially in his/her everyday interaction with the learners.  By means of the pedagogy of K to 12 Program, better outcomes will be yielded from the learners.  Eventually, success will spring out from the teaching-learning proces
