Today, Philippines is suffering a huge problem that is piercing our economy and is greatly crushing the normal Filipino families. The inflation rate is rapidly increasing that the ordinary family who earn enough money, cannot jive into the tide of price surges. It mainly affects the most common household needs, such as rice grains, canned goods, and other ingredients that most people need in their daily lives. Also, oil prices are increasing, as well as, the LPG we use to cook our foods. Our government has been seeking ways to aid the problem we are facing. As of now, the inflation rate continues to puncture us, even students were affected, for example, most students ride public utility vehicles and with the continuous oil price-hike, drivers had to initiate fare hike.

Thus, it led me to ask the question: how can the Philippines survive this uprising crisis? Projects were launched, partnerships were created, Yet this dilemma is on the run. We have imported goods, and loaned to partner countries. Based on the study, you would have to spend 2.70% more money in 2018 than in 2017, inflation rate in our country is currently on its highly peak. And the solution the government can see is the overseas remittance, it contributes to a large part when it comes to foreign value exchange. OFW’s remittances help our economy to establish greater connection abroad. Henceforth, Philippines still thrives despite of the growing conflict. Apparently, stock exchange can also aid the inflation rate, but it takes time and it takes a lot of government effort.

In the end, it is not just for the government to take action, but all the citizens in the Philippines, whether you are affected by the crisis or not, it is our responsibility to keep our country’s economy stable than blame such leaders without knowing where the problem really came from. Our country deserves a well-nourished future for us to live on and for the next generation. For many years it became a cradle to every Filipinos and not just Filipinos but other foreigner who found the beauty of our land, beauty that once bedazzled Ferdinand Magellan, the beauty that caused war, the beauty that keeps flourishing amidst the threats, the beauty that we all hope would never change. The beauty that is already fading, but we all know that beauty can always be restored and that option is up to our will and our hands.
