Critical and analytical skills are developed through playing. These help what they have learned in school. When children are playful they can easily get along with others and learn some attitude like sharing. Shyness and self-centeredness have no place in them. They can make more friends through playing.
Why is play important? First, dishwashing, washing clothes, cooking, caring for young sisters and brothers are learned through playing. Second, voluntary activity can be learned through playing.
Next, language can be built up through playing. They can develop their language faster compared to those who are loners. And lastly, skills taught in school like counting, identifying letters and numbers sometimes even simple addition and subtraction are strengthens by mean of play.
Teachers should include play as part of the classroom activities specially those handling young children in Kindergarten.
