It is the desire of every classroom teacher to offer quality education to every learner in

her class. But do we often fail attain this goal? An analysis was done by an educator on the

reason behind the failure in the attainment of quality education and one of the reasons is

Classroom Management.

At the very start of the year, every teacher needs to know the importance of managing

the classroom. She needs to set rules and policies that will be observed in the class.

Encouraging leadership in the class will also help in the flow of the activities in the classroom

and assigning each pupil to do their own work is vital so as to attain an effective-teaching

learning situation. Children must also be oriented on some guidelines in school so that they

will have clearer views on what and what not to do in the school. During PTA meetings it’s

also important to address classroom situations and rules among the parents for unity and

support.

Above all these, love must be the main ingredient in imposing discipline among the

learners to ensure effective classroom management.
