Heathfield (2016) defined promotion as higher salary, range or higher level of job title and more and higher level job responsibilities in an organization. It comes additional responsibilities, accountabilities, and expectations for contributions. Also, promotion raises, status and esteem.
Some of the methods of promotional growth according to Kelly (2017) are books on teaching profession, professional development courses, additional college courses, reading well established websites and journals, visiting other classroom and schools, joining professional organizations and attending teachers’ conference.
It is significant that teachers be updated about knowledge and skills. Since, gaining wisdom is through experience.A lot of teachers nowadays are undergoing seminars internationally, nationally, regionally, divisionally, and so on and so forth. But what this makes an important part of teachers’ growth. Is that it makes them one step higher or much advance to the pupils or students they are teaching. It makes them realize also that through this they are gaining deeper knowledge about the subject matter that they are teaching. With that updating once information or familiarity has lots of benefits both for teachers, school especially students.
Aside from that, they become aware and accountable. Wherein teachers become critic, which make them influence other teachers and students that giving information among students should be careful and can be of helpful to others because they can correct and lessen mistake within their circle of influence and they become of helpful again inside and outside school.
All in all, becoming updated, aware and accountable within their vicinity makes it easy and enjoyable work. That is where promotional growth enters not only mentally, but also in their status which are economically, physically. And in the end status which includes esteem.
