          Every child in school has a set of rights that he deserves to have. It is the full responsibility of the school, as well of the teachers to protect and promote these rights for the sake of learners.

       First, it is the right of the child to receive quality education. Having ample knowledge and skills would be essential to develop and enhance the child. Having nurtured well in school in terms of academic would be worthy.

       Secondly, it is the right of the child to express his thoughts. Having the chance to tell what he thinks, and feel would be beneficial not only to the child but also to the entire teaching-learning process. The child must be a dynamic learner who states his views and wishes.

      Thirdly, it is the right of the child to enjoy. Give him the best activities where he could be at his best. It is playing at the same time learning. Whether in arts or sports, let them go on with their wings to have zest in everything he does.

       Fourth, it is the right of the child to learn the right values. Having taught the enviable values that he needs to apply in life would be advantageous. It is part of his rights to know what is good.

       Fifth, it is the right of the child to assume responsibility. Let him do tasks which will further develop his sense of leadership.

        Sixth, it is the right of the child to be recognized. Learn to appreciate his good deeds and accomplishments. Being appreciated will be beneficial in boosting his self-esteem. Hearing pleasant words would uplift one’s spirit.

        Seventh, it is the right of the child to be protected from any harms. Whether the hazards are coming from internal or external forces, the child should be given proper care that will make him secured. Let him be free from any form of abuses.

         Lastly, it is the right of the child to have a conducive learning environment. Give him a safe and convenient place to study. The school is one of the comfortable venues for learning.

          By realizing all these rights, the learner will always be protected. We should always remember that school should be child-friendly and a place which protect the rights of every child.
