- Innovative– A teacher must employ new technique adapted to multi-level learners. Application of innovative techniques proven to be effective could help in increasing the level of interest of the learner towards a new lesson.
- Intelligent and Smart– a teacher showing mastery of the lesson he is teaching can prove to his student that he is knowledgeable in the subject matter. Students will not have any doubts and will keep in their minds that they are in the hands of a good teacher.
- Compassionate and Understanding– A teacher must know how to deal with0 the short comings of his students. He must know how to appreciate and accept them for whatever qualities they possess. Instead of getting angry and hate them for their undesirable behavior he must do something to help them change for the better.
- Friendly– A teacher must reflect a friendly attitude. Students usually need someone that they can trust share their problems, the teacher with open arms, heart and mind must act as friend to them. School can only be regarded as child friendly school if all personnel especially their teachers are really child friendly.
- Patience– A teacher must show perseverance in performing his duty. He must be patient with his student’s undesirable behavior and shortcomings. Good and bad experiences are expected to happen but no matter what consequences it might be, teacher need s to perform his duty with endurance.
- Disciplinarian– Applying disciplined is really a difficult job for teacher. He cannot be an effective facilitator of learning if he can’t control and discipline students. An evidence that a teacher is good disciplinarian is when the students display good behavior inside and outside the classroom and the room is always clean and in proper order.
- Role Model– As a part of professionalism teacher must act according to his/her profession. Society has a great expectation on us, for that case we need to do things expected from us by our society. We need to perform our duties well and good, and must exhibit good behavior at all times.
