I need to finish schooling……this has been my motto since day one of my awareness that knowledge is needed in order to have power. I have always been very much oriented of what a good education is all about. My Aunts and Uncles all have finished college. As a learner, I always reminded myself to memorize, write and take down notes. A routine which I think could help me. I seldom read passionately. I just read whenever I was obliged to do so because of my assignments. Textbooks are everywhere, in our house… in my bag, in our library. It never came to my mind that reading a lot should be a passion and not an occasional habit.

I finished college just for the sake I finished it. I have grades which are quite acceptable.. I just keep on reminding myself that it is my fate that will dictate. Some are those who have graduated with honors even from reputable Universities but ended up being a businessman. Although I have no against finishing college with flying colors,  it just goes to show that even in formal education, passion in what you are doing is a must in order for  you to do well in life.

Reading is always a part of our lives. Everywhere we go and whatever we do in life, it takes someone who can read to be able to live an ordinary life. Not only in school that a student should read. Wherever our eyes can take us, it requires reading. In travelling, we need to be able to read the place of destination we are heading to. Reading a lot of books and magazines can also take us to the places we want to go. Our depths of knowledge depend on how much we read.

Even in reading and in learning,learning should not be a must only. It needs to get accomplished passionately…
