A child is gifted by God with abilities and talents that need to be discovered. The school and the teachers are instrumental in helping the child to discover these making him more productive as a learning individual. Let him discover his multiple intelligences to the fullest.
Here are the intelligences that the teacher must discover and enhance in a child:
Linguistic intelligence. Let the child discover his ability in terms of language. The teacher must help the child discover his communication and writing skills. This may lead him to become a better speaker and a great writer.
Logical-mathematical intelligence. The teacher may help the child discover his mathematical and reasoning skills. This will assist him to perform better in computations and solving problems and in all Math challenges.
Musical intelligence. The child may have an inclination to the field of music. Helping him discover his talent in singing or playing any musical instruments may be beneficial to the child. You may create an artist or a future celebrity in him.
Spatial intelligence. Let the child discover the ability to solve spatial problems and to visualize objects from different angles. This mental skill can be useful for the child in future navigation.
Bodily kinesthetic intelligence. Let him make use of his body in doing worthwhile activities like dancing, sports and among others.
Interpersonal intelligence. Develop within the child the trait of being sociable and pleasing in dealing with people. Let him mingle with them and create goodwill and connections.
Intrapersonal intelligence. The child may be productive by himself. Having intrapersonal intelligence is creating thoughts and insights that will be of value to the learner, for his development and progress.
By means of discovering and developing these multiple intelligences within the learners, they will be able to realize their worth and their value as a person making them more productive and competitive.
