Social Studies is one subject area which tends to rediscover the traces of history and this is advantageous to the new generation of our society.

Traces of events. The study of social studies helps us to rediscover the events that transpired in the past which shaped our history. Through this subject, the learners are well-informed of the events that became instrumental on what is our country and what we are today.

Traces of time. The study of social studies takes into account significant dates where significant moments happened.  These dates are so important for they bring a lot of great memories in the past.

Traces of people. The study of social studies reminds us of the people who shaped history and contributed much to the freedom and progress of the nation. The lesson brought by the heroes will be contributory in understanding history.

Traces of place. The study of social studies brings back the significant venues where the events happened.  These are very significant historical sites where history transpired and became very meaningful.

Traces of conflicts.  The conflicts between people are also being featured in social studies.  These conflicts are traces that brought struggles and differences among the people in our nation.

Traces of fight.  Social studies also presents various fights among the heroes in the Philippines and their opponents.  The fights brought death and miseries and paved the way to win freedom and liberation.

Traces of friendship. Also social studies features friendship which became instrumental in establishing stability in our country.  Friendship created the strong pillars of the nation.

Traces of failure. Failures are also traces in our history, these became the challenges which pushed our heroes to do their utmost best to win the war against slavery and discrimination.

Traces of success. Eventually, the scenario of success is part of history and success is the fruit of labor of our ancestors.
