One of the indicators of a nation’s progress is how it deals with its people by giving them proper compensation through job opportunities. In other words employment of the qualified workers greatly determines the condition of the country. This simply clarifies that as the number of unemployed workers increases, the potential of the country to become unproductive also intensifies.

Addressing the issue on giving the right career for graduating students will surely be an excellent way of answering the problem of our country about unemployment. Career guidance as initiated by college institutions is one of the answers to the stated dilemma because it directs and guides every student to choose the right course or vocation which is a sure hit for job opportunities as far as employment is concerned.

One concrete example that supports this claim is the scenario wherein Filipino nurses and caregivers were highly demanded by other countries during the past few years that is why many incoming college learners took these medical courses. However the time came when a big number of nurses and caregivers could not already be accommodated by other countries and even by our own country because they were not guided and properly informed that their services were already out of the system, thus, the issue of oversupply existed rapidly.

On the other hand, the students mainly the graduating ones will find it easy to know what course they will take if they are well-informed about the existing condition and the needed services in the years to come because they have insights and patterns to consider, to cling and to count on.

With the assistance of the college institutions to discuss and determine the courses and services needed by the government, the number of unemployed Filipinos will be abridged and will surely create a positive impact to the educational system and to our economy.
