Teachers learn from their own craft through their experiences. To be a teacher is to be a pupil also and in order for you to teach well. One of the most important attitudes a teacher must possess is that of being open to learning and open to changes. Don’t feel that teaching young minds is a burden but it’s a great feeling to mold young ones. As teachers and future administrators, we must continuously examine ourselves and let’s reflect on the fruit of our labor. Is it enough or not?
Let us not be stocked by our own. Everyday in our lives as teacher we always learn and we are prone to commit mistakes. Of course we are not free from making mistakes because we are perfectly imperfect. Let us consider that our mistakes are not mistakes forever. Our mistakes served as lessons so that the next time we can make things right. Let’s love our work and love our pupils more because the way we treat them is what they caught and learned from us. That is where we could see our influence as a teacher. Our pupils are our reflection. How you manage you class, classroom, how they show their attitude, how they perform, and how they become depends on your will as a teacher. You are an example, a concrete model of what you want them to be. So, let’s bring the most possible things we can do for them because at the end of the day you’ll realize….is it job well done or not? How many of us forget our tasks? Always put our heart into it and we can never go wrong. Let’s be hungry for learning and for improving ourselves, too.
How ready are you to realize that after quarters of academic year, a teaching method you thought and techniques you used to be effective proved to be opposite? It’s not too late for us to realize that we need more improvement on ourselves…..so let’s reflect, do more, learn more and embrace the changes that the new curriculum offers to us….. In our institution, there are always changes from time to time. Let’s change for the better and stop complaining for the abrupt changes in our field. We should not be left behind, so that our pupils, our reflection would not also be left behind.
