Every Monday morning , every pupil is o the rush of going to school, once

the bell rings, Tomasians  will troop to the school corridors and fall in line for the flag

ceremony .

It’s not just merely an ordinary ceremony but this is a chance for all pupils to

be reminded of their citizenship, of being a Filipino. This is evident when we sing the

Philippine National Anthem aloud and while the  flag is raised.  While singing this is also

the time to take pried on and remember our  brave heroes who unselfishly devoted their

lives ensuring the freedom of our country . The Panatang Makabayan and  Panunumpa sa

Watawat ng Pilipinas should not only be recited but said aloud with honesty and

promised to remain true and loyal to our country.

But unfortunately there are still Tomasians  who tend to forget their duties

they should exercise during the flag ceremony. It seems that they tend to neglect the

importance of ceremony  and instead of attending , some of them stay inside the

classroom   rather than joining their classmates and show their allegiance    to our flag.

It is very sad to see such unpatriotic act of these few Tomasians. Let  us  be

reminded that this is one way   of showing our patriotism to our beloved country so

encourage everybody to join the flag ceremony which is truly beneficial and essential to

every school.
