BASIC PARTS OF ELECTRICAL PLAN

FLOOR PLAN

*A diagram usually to scale , showing the relationships between rooms, spaces and physical features at one level of structure.

LIGHTING LAYOUT

*A diagram showing the location and kinds of lighting and switches to be installed in a proposed building or house.

*Standard requirement in lighting layout;

*10 lighting outlet is equivalent to 15 amperes in circuit breaker.

*1 Lighting outlet is equivalent to 100 watts

*#14 AWG (2.00mm) size of wire

*1.5 m, 150 cm, 1500mm standard height of switch

POWER  LAYOUT

*A diagram showing the location and kinds of convenient outlets to be installed in a proposed building or house.

*Standard requirement in power layout;

*8 convenient outlet is equivalent to 20 amperes in circuit breaker

*Duplex convenient outlet  is equivalent to 360 watts

*# 12 AWG(3.5mm) size of wire

*Special purpose outlet is equivalent to 1 branch of circuit breaker

*1hp( horse power) is equal to 746 watts

*1 foot, 30 cm, 300mm standard height of outlet

LEGEND

*Shows the meaning of each symbol used in electrical.

LOAD SCHEDULE

*Show the number of branch circuit lighting outlet, convenient outlet, total wattage rating, total load current, size of wire and computation of loads per branch circuit.

RISER DIAGRAM

*A schematic presentation of the entire electrical circuit from the service entrance up to smallest circuit branch.

SERVICE  ENTRANCE

*A schematic  of the entire circuit showing the size and number of wires, size of conduit from the power line to the meter base down to the panel board.

SPECIFICATION

*All electrical layout shall comply the latest Philippine Electrical Code and implementing rules *and regulations of the City/Municipal concerned.
