Today, one of the hottest issues in congress is the promoting of RH BILL in the Philippines. This bill is made possible because of the problem of our country which is, over population. Yes, a solution for most of the politicians but a threat to the youth, isn’t it?

The modernization of the era is intertwined with the breakage of our cultural chain. And due to this RH BILL being pushed in congress, the chances of the teenagers in engaging themselves in what we call pre-marital sex is alarming. The RH BILL, to clear up things is the legal usage of contraceptives like condoms, pills, etc. to prevent fertilization and because of this aim, the possible users are very confident of themselves that a sex could possibly be done without a worry of getting pregnant especially for the cases of young Filipinas. But behind their worry-free actions comes a guiltiest realization that she committed a sin of having sex without marriage-an immoral act for Filipinos an act against among Christians.

We are perhaps having a thought that we think differently. We value different things and act differently. Others may also say, “I don’t care about other people”. But the reality is other’s cares about you, cares about your actions for the sake of gossips.

For as Filipinas, we give value to our virginity especially if we are still under age and if we are still unmarried. A culture we had for over centuries or even millennia but unfortunately nowadays, this value is about to be put six feet under the ground is more likely to be possible due to the RH BILL.

Well, at the end of the day, RH BILL is just an object to use or not. The preservation of our cultures and beliefs are still in our hands. As part of this generation’s youth, I would still stay to be old fashion – as what they say – done to be modernized and let your hymen be torn over and over again just because of infatuation.
