Teaching at present truly demands a lot of responsibilities for it may affect the lives of schoolchildren. Because of the recent changes in the educational system a teacher must exert more efforts in order to be more competent and more effective.
The teacher is expected to develop the right attitude for school work in order to perform better for the sake of the learners. Anyway, teachers are in school not for their own benefit but primarily for the welfare of the students.
Initially, teacher should consider that teaching is the noblest of all professions or careers. As the saying goes there will be no doctor, engineer, lawyer and other professionals without a teacher.
The teacher should also consider that the child is in the center of the educative process. The task given to every teacher is to develop and nurture the potentialities of each child. It is indeed such a great opportunity to serve the young generation of schoolchildren.
The teacher should think that teaching transforms the society. The proper ways and behaviors which people manifest are significant to the entire humanity. The teachers influence the ways the students act and behave. They even transform characters and personalities.
The teaching profession should be considered by the teacher as the instrument to the nation’s progress. Having produced highly skilled and globally competitive individuals out of teaching is truly rewarding.
The teacher should regard his/her profession as the means to create awareness among people. Since teaching is concerned with various fields of knowledge, the students will be well-abreast and updated on what are happening to the world as in the recent events, discoveries and inventions.
The teaching profession is also regarded as the most respected of all and that is why teachers should have pride with it. The insignia of being a teacher commands respect and admiration for a teacher exudes exceptional competence and character.
The glory of being a teacher is somewhat evident in our contemporary society and it is a good indication that aside from the social status of the teacher, the living condition of a teacher is being improved by the government.
The teacher at present should take honor and pride on what they have because the future of the young learners lies on their hands.
Be confident because you are a teacher!
