Social media play a great role to education. Social media benefits the students, teachers and even parents.

Students.Through social media learning will no longer be limited in the four corners of the classroom.  Learning may occur as the students are in front of the computer. They gain more experiences and knowledge as they browse and use the social media.They can make some researches, can do their assignments, and can exchange ideas with their classmates. They can have a communication with their classmates and teachers especially so about the lessons taught to them.

Teachers. Social media have a great offer to teachers.  Teachers can get some materials to be used in their teaching.  They may minimize the use of chalkboard in teaching because they can get teaching materials like power point presentations, videos, even pictures and songs.  They can have a communication with the students as well as the parents.  They can give some updates on the performances of the students to the parents. More communication will occur between the teachers and the students; the teachers and the parents. They may have a friendly exchange of conversation to their students unlike inside the room.

Parents. Parents can use social media to have an update of their children’s school performance.  Through social media they can be informed of school matters like Parents’-Teacher’s Conferences, programs, and other announcements.

School. Social media is indispensable because announcements once posted will reach the students, teachers, parents and other personnel.  For example, suspension of classes, schedule of exams, PTC meetings, school achievements, reunions and other school matters.

            Social media – facebook, twitter, google, blog – play a very important role in the field of education.
