One of the improper attitudes among teen agers is bullying. It can be described as a pattern of intentionally hurting and degrading others. Base on the report of Department of Education (DepEd), cases of bullying on 2014 increased by 21% or a total of 6,363 cases, compare with the 5,236 on 2013 among public and private elementary and secondary school. Needless to say, this problem has been more rampant these days. Youngsters who manifest this kind of behaviour are indeed created, not born, and it happens even at their very young age. Normally, they are originated from broken families which lack care and openness.

Meanwhile, the victims can end up with inflicting damage as a cause of their experience. They may view themselves as useless individuals. The affected children may be easily depressed, angry, or bitter. Being bullied teaches the innocent the following negative bearings: he is unwanted, he is not safe in the world and he is powerless to defend himself. For these mere facts, the child will find himself helpless which in return lead him up to depression. Furthermore, the child might form low self- esteem. A kid may always tend to have a self-doubt and will have a tough time overcoming hard situations.

Undeniably, bullying is a serious matter nowadays. However, there are some possible remedies for it. First, there must be an open communication between parents and with their offspring about the harmful effects of bullying. Second, let the young ones understand how the course of their action can affect others. Third, everyone should be aware of the degree of the problem and the consequence the learners may possibly look out on so that each one will be encouraged to require proper steps to cut back the number of bullying that happens.

Allow these sprouts to build their dreams in a peaceful place where the spirit of hope, faith, love and joy reside.
