Earth is the only planet in the solar system that could sustain life. It is the only planet that could provide things to man in order to survive. Without it, we are nothing but mere dust.

It is really depressing to know that Earth has been in the state of really detrimental condition. Do you have a clear idea of what will happen to our future generation if things become worst? I’m afraid that we’ll need another planet to live in.

Children at their young afe should be made aware about the environment. Parents at home, teachers at school, people at the community and at the media should work together in educating and making every child a good member of this planet that we called Earth.

Simple things as proper disposal of waste, turning off electricity when not in use, watering the plants, recycling, and others are things normally done at home, school and community. When children are aware of these things, they are more likely to do the same. In school, the same things are being taught but in a wider range and a deeper understanding. They are being taught all that is to be learned about the environment and the planet. Through media anyone can grasp information as much as he can. Watching videos, movies and/or anything that are environment related topics can be of great help in making children fully aware and conscious about life in the planet.

Children, though young and powerless can make a difference. They may be small but our future depends on them. Whatever they sow today will reap by tomorrow. As Rizal puts it “the youth is the hope of our motherland”. As a child at heart, I am, too willung to help the planet Earth to last to its last.
