The Department of Education has a massive advocacy campaign regarding the implementation of the Dropout Reduction Program. It is important to support this kind of program including the attendance problems. And to prevent the students from dropping out, all schools are required to conduct training and seminar with regard to this program so that the teachers would be more aware and knowledgeable on how to identify effective strategies in dropout reduction. This is also one way for the teachers to be able to express their insights and true feelings with this issue.

The DepEd’s policies and guidelines on attendance improvement or dropout reduction should be applied and be focused on the needs of diverse pupils and pupils who are risk of dropping out. Moreover, the action plan for reducing the dropout rate should be appropriately implemented in school and the effective strategies for dropout must be properly planned and identified to achieve the most positive impact on the dropout rate.
