The Science Education in the K-12 program starts at grade 3 only in all the public schools nationwide. While this is being implemented, some experts say that it should commence at the start of their pre-education period which is on kindergarten. “The recommended science curriculum is a decongested one that focuses on depth rather than breadth, stressing the three major content areas, inquiry skills, and scientific attitudes. And even with the new K to 12 educational systems implemented, Science is still taught as a separate subject starting from Grade 3 and not earlier, in accordance with the development of the students’ reading and comprehension skills.”

Based on this statement made by the expert, we should change the policy guidelines on the proper inclusion of science education to kinder and not on grade 3 only. As they say that the science should be learned on depth rather than breadth, it is really very important to learn science thru play at first and thru their senses. In this case, we are inculcating them the step by step procedure on how to have a keen observation on thing as such it is the very essence on how to become efficient in studying science subject. They will be able to learn things while having fun

As Friedrich Froebel, the father of Kindergarten, relates to the people, socialization and play is the important element that we should teach to children while they chew on the learning subconsciously while they are at play but this will hinder the purpose of the k-12 which states that the reading and comprehension skills will be formed on grade 1. Hence, this situation needs focus on how they will be able to resolve it since science is one of the most tough subject that students need to undertake.
