It has been said that not all things are learned in school. There are important lessons in life that can be learned outside the four corners of an educational institution. Scouting has been the best outlet for the young ones to learn the different lessons that will develop their character. These lessons will truly help an individual in his lifetime.
“Scouting is education.” Its fundamental goal is to develop the youth in achieving their full potentials; physically, intellectually, socially and spiritually, which will make them as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national, and international communities.
The main objective of scouting is values formation. With the present challenges like value conflicts and value distortions, it is important for the young ones to be equipped with moral values that will guide them to right path.
Scouting gives our youth opportunities to try new things, be of service to others, enhance their self-confidence and reinforce ethical standards. Scouting will not only help when they are young but they carry it with them in their adult lives, improving relationships, ethics, work lives and family lives by which they live.
Scouting will be of great help in guiding our youth to be role models and become good leaders of our country.
