Learning indeed is the main goal of a teacher why he teaches. And this fact is taken into action by considering all vital factors that would possibly affect this kind of state. Once learning is brought to the minds of the students, he is thought to be effective. On contrary, if some unnoticeable factors considered as flaws take in to while trying to create learning, probably, there will be a low possibility for learning to take place on the entire class. One of which is the seating arrangement of the class.

It seems that there is a common belief that when students decide to sit within a classroom reflects upon their motivation, engagement, and willingness to learn though this belief has become an anecdotal comment, there are indicators suggesting that student location within the classroom affects academic performance.

What teachers consider a good student can vary is to think that seating location is related to academic achievement and classroom participation. Seating locations within the classroom environment concern how students are seated within the classroom. They can vary in size and formation; however, they affect students’ learning conditions, and learning conditions influence their engagement and participation. Seating location depicts where a student sits within the classroom.

In our country, it is typical that there is a seating arrangement in every classroom. It is one of the rules inside our school. Seating arrangement may vary in different approaches arranged by the teacher. It is commonly base on their behaviors inside the classroom. Classroom teacher used to arrange students in alphabetical order, boys and girls, height and their performance inside the classroom. However, it should have known that classroom environment is associated with the generation and promotion of higher order thinking skills, and this cognitive stimulation provides students with a different environment that promotes positive and effective learning experiences.

Establishing a bird’s eye view on to this, it shows that the learning experience received by students sitting near the front of the class is different from that received by students sitting farther away. Students sitting near the front of the class demonstrate higher motivation and participation results received much higher achievement scores than students sitting farther away.
