Education is a key that opens doors to opportunities for people of all backgrounds. The vast amount of knowledge gained through education prepares individuals to solve problems, teach others, function at a higher level and implement transformational ideas. Without this, one’s chances for securing a good job and ascending to a higher economic and social status are often limited.
To get good education, students usually extend more time burning eyebrows by spending more hours reading books and reviewing notebooks for them to get good remarks in all school exercises and examinations. Or maybe for some, they sleep late because of other activities such as watching TV, hanging out with friends or partying. What we are not aware are the consequences students could get because of the effect of sleeplessness.
What we don’t know is that sleep deprivation and daytime sleepiness can result to a lot of problems for a student. It can limit their ability to learn, listen, concentrate and solve problems. Students may even forget important information like names and numbers.
Lack of sleep can also contribute acne and other skin problems that may cause depression.
And will also give you a hard time getting along not only with your family but with your friends as well. Students needabout 8 to 10 hoursof sleep each night to function best. However the average amount of sleep that students get is only between 7 and7 ¼ hours.
There are solutions that can help students get rid of the sleeplessness. First of course is by making sleep your priority.Decide what you need to change to get enough sleep. Second is to make your room a sleep haven. Keep it cool, quiet and dark. Open your window to let the bright light in the morning come to signal your body to wake up. Make a sleep friendly room. Next is to stop eating, drinking or doing exercises within a few hours before bedtime. These activities will give you a hard time getting to sleep.
Sleep is food for the brain. It is vital to our well-being, as important as the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat. Thus getting enough sleep will not just improve the grades of the students, but healthy living too. For health is wealth.
