 Many students or even teachers in the English language find it hard to write or speak in the second language using writing or speaking style that will make their product more appealing to the listening or reading audience.

   There are many ways in which you can improve your speaking or reading manuscripts. Anyone who speaks or writes naturally wants to catch the attention of the audience. So how can you make them sit up and listen? One thing that adds zest to talks and publications is using some biblical idiomatic expressions.   1.  Messiahnic Complex– This means that a person is likened to the messiah which implies that he is an all-knowing individual, upright, virtuous and righteous.
  2. Solomonic Disposition- A person with balance decision.   Everyone   will be satisfied with his decision. An intelligent and fair person.

 Example:  He belongs to a family with Messiahnic Complex members.

 Example: That Judge has a Solomonic decision for the accused.

  1. Doubting Thomas.  Thomas is one of the disciples of Jesus who did not believed at once about the rising of Jesus from the tomb. He said that he will only believed this if he can put his hands inside the body of Jesus. He doubted the rising of Jesus from the dead.
  2. Complaining Martha.  A person may be called as “Complaining Martha” if he/she is like Martha who complains to Jesus when He visited their house. Martha complained to Jesus her sister Maria that she does not like to help her in preparing the food to be served to Jesus and companions. Maria, the sister of Martha,  just sat down in front of Jesus and listens to His words.
  3. Job’s Perseverance/ Patience..   Inspite  of Job’s sufferings, he did not lose his faith in Jesus He believed that one day, God will ease his pains, troubles, sickness and problems. Until the day that all his sufferings were washed away with the help of God.

Example: Anybody who is doubtful about anything may be called as the Doubting Thomas.”

Jesus told Martha, “You must let your sister Maria in whatever she wants to do, and she, Martha must do her task.

Example: Do not be like Martha. Just keep on finishing your task.
