Sports events have been gradually become competitive in nature, in local and especially in the international or global competition.

As a matter of fact, youth sports events are now part of a growing industry to which event venues are tailoring their policies, procedures and designs.

Considering the competitiveness of various sports events, sports coordinators particularly Physical Educators are inclined to give lessons on ethics of playing a game. The competitive nature of the events and their participants have caused venues to examine their existing policies and adjust them to increase security and safety measures for athletes, coaches, spectators, game officials and venue staff.

Tempers at these sports events are likely to flare up, and violence is becoming increasingly more common. As a matter of fact, parents and athletes have attacked one another, coaches, and game officials due to the intensity of the game most especially in crucial situations. The result of these acts range from minor injuries and worse to death.

Sports specialist, sports coordinators, managers and their athletes are playing in a competition for one purpose and that is to compete for the title in their respective sport. It is because of this that tensions are high from the athletes walk through the gate, as opposed to the celebratory atmosphere of other events where attendees are primarily concerned with having a enjoyable time.

This intense atmosphere is what may provoke the instances of violence jeopardizing the safety of all in the sports venue.

Here comes the value of sports management to ensure that violent situations are properly addressed and dealt with efficiency without putting everybody in a dangerous situation.
