The Supreme Student Council Government (SSG) is under the Student Government Program (SPG) of the Department of Education (Dep Ed). Through SSG, it laid the groundwork for unity and cooperation amongst students by providing them a venue where they can improve their leader leadership abilities.

Public high schools are encouraged to establish their own SSG for it to train students to become better members of the society with the ideals and principles of participative democracy. It is an avenue for the development of students love of country, moral character, personal discipline and efficiency among its members.

Elected officers of the SSG are tasked to formulate and recommend programs that will address relevant issues and concerns of the students. They also participate in crafting the School Improvement Plans (SIP). Aside from these, they are the representative of the students in voicing their opinions, suggestions and grievances. The president and vice-president of the SSG are eligible for the Board of Directors (BOD) seats in the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) to strengthen channels of communication and consultative mechanism between the two stakeholders of education.

Among the focus of the SSGs thrust are the Brigada Eskwela, reading and tutoring services, peer-counseling, anti-drug abuse education, leadership and capacity building, career guidance seminars, tree planting and growing campaigns and smoke free school campaigns
