The teacher plays an important role in achieving the desired learning outcome. He is expected to provide favorable conditions conducive to effective teaching and learning. But how can a teacher be effective in helping his pupils to learn? The following tips may help the teacher to become such. First, he must know the learning styles of each of his pupils. Leaning style implies that every child is unique, and thus learns in different ways. Second, an effective teacher always strives hard to greater learning. Third, an effective teacher teaches with a heart. Sensitive enough to know the needs of child. Fourth, a teacher mush bear in mind that children are curious and active that he needs to provide activities that will stimulate them. Lastly, a teacher should not only encourage learning, more importantly, he should inspire  the pupils. An effective teacher does not only speak in his mind, but rather, he communicates straight to the pupils’ mind and heart.

 

To be a teacher is to be a student. So we should not only be there in our classroom throwing question or giving test to the pupils but also let them feel that we are with them willing to guide them towards the right path.
