Pandemic highlighted the realities of the society when it comes to having rich and poor people. Furthermore, pandemic also widen the gap of these two groups of people. When it comes to education, it becomes a privilege to the wealthy learners. They were able to continue their education, even though schools needed to be closed. Technology became a great factor. Since these higher-level learners could afford to buy and use gadgets like cellphones, laptops and tablets and the internet connection, they were able to continue their learning at the comfort of their home, contrary to those who don’t have the means. They were forced to answer modules made by the teachers, without discussing what it is all about. They were made to submit activities that was not really explained to them thus producing a not so clear answers thus learning gap happened. Literacy and numeracy difficulty among learners become prevalent It is a sad reality that gap between the learners are getting bigger and bigger, and it is regretful that financial stability of learners’ family plays a huge impact on their achievement at school. Teachers and all other personnels of education must do something to address this gap presently happening to our young learners.
