Agriculture is an important field of education for it is very essential in the development and progress of the country most especially in boosting the economy.
The present generation haven’t realized that agriculture is a worthwhile course and this will be taught in the Senior High School of the K to 12 Program. The following are the remarkable features of agriculture where the students will get their utmost benefits.
Agriculture teaches the basic of farming. The students of the K to 12 Curriculum will be taught on how to plant and take care of plant crops most especially those which are consumable by the prospective consumers. In this way, they will be productive citizens of the country doing a worthwhile activity for others.
Agriculture teaches the art of poultry, particularly hog and chicken raising. In this way, the students will be more responsible enough to produce poultry products which are essential in the market for consumer consumption.
Agriculture though most of the time may refer to land may also include the skill in fishing for there are available fishponds around the areas which are suitable for the propagation of fish.
Agriculture also involves horticulture. This includes the propagation of various ornamental and flowering plants which will help the surroundings be beautiful and pleasant.
Agriculture also involves forestry. Apparently, this involves the planting of young trees in order to achieve forestation most especially in high lands to prevent erosion.
Generally, agriculture will greatly help the environment and the people for it works for the propagation of plants and animals which will help feed the citizens of the country.
For sure agriculture would be a valuable course in the K to 12 Curriculum for it will be advantageous to us and in our surroundings.
The youth must be willing to embrace the importance of agriculture to their lives for it is to provide us with our basic necessities for our nourishment.
