Teaching is a complex and many sided task demanding a variety of skills and characteristics. (hermosa.gov.ph/index.php/education/486-the-teachers-job). To be a teacher is a very complicated responsibility. Her role is very important in the society which is to properly educate every citizen living in it.
To provide quality education among his or pupils requires a teacher to act out different roles. She is expected to be the facilitator of the teaching learning process. She also serves as the manager who supervises and guides every activity inside the classroom. She also acts as the guidance counselor who guides her pupils in every decision they make or helps them realize the mistakes that they did.
Above all things, a teacher is a great leader. She makes the learning process easy for the pupils by providing them activities suitable for the kinds of learners she has. Most importantly, He makes all the pupils do every learning task she is going to assign to them.
Teachers are actually not born leaders. Amazingly, they learn to be capable of leading their pupils to follow and perform the work she provides them. As she does her job, she unknowingly molds herself into a good leader.
In the process, she follows the principles and philosophies she preaches with her pupils so they will also do the same. The teacher serves as role model of what she likes the pupils to replicate in their thoughts, words and actions. Moreover, she acts as a steward. She jumps off the cliff with her pupils so that they will be able to take the plunge independently one day.
Because a great leader lives there inside the classroom and the hearts of the pupils to guide them, learning is well facilitated. This leader is a teacher who shows how them how to learn things, accompanies her pupils to do these things and one day; let them learn and do different things alone. Every teacher is really a leader in the making.
