Stunning truths in a teacher’s life
Sometimes I can’t help but sigh and question myself, why am I still in school? Am I not yet drained? Can I still go on?Am I still happy with my work? After a long pause , I took a deep breath, as if its my last…… then I pat my shoulder…… telling myself, “Hey you’ll be ok” , “All you need is just a good rest”, “Be on your toes again”, “ Things will be fine”.
You see my dear readers , this profession is indeed , a long winding tideous task. It requires a great load of patience , a solid drive to reach your teaching goals, a big heart to accommodate/understand the various struggles of every student who comes to your class , and a good dose of tolerance, commitment and comprehension to beat paper works deadlines and more. For my years in the teaching career, I have encountered hopeless and helpless young lads and lass who are broken individuals just like me.
Nevertheless, I have proven myself to be worthy to be called a “TEACHER”. A teacher who doesn’t only impart knowledge and skills, but a TEACHER who definitely cares and touches someone’s life.
We have to believe , I have to make myself believe that:
I am the “GREATEST INSPIRATION” of my students inside their very own classrooms.
I can “MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE” on how they perceive life’s challenges.
“ALL HEARTS can be EDUCATED” for the pursuit of simple happiness.
“I AM THE TEACHER that I AM SUPPOSED TO BE.”
God fearing…
Value laden…
Purposely driven…
EDUCATOR…
