Disruptive behavior in the classroom can result from learning disabilities, problems at home, boredome or lack of discipline. Pupils do influence other pupil that is why teachers and parents must take decisive action to defuse the problem. Teachers should work on building relationships with a pupil’s family before trouble arises. They should establish connections in order to address behavior problems.

Teachers can take multiple actions to address and reduce behavioral problems in the classroom. Roaming through all of the rows in a classroom frequently throughout the day decreases the likelihood of behavioral problems in the back of the room. Teachers should engage pupils frequently by name to encourage classroom participation.

It is advisable to call the parent of the guardian to address any behavioral problems. Remain calm and friendly when talking to parents and encourage parents to take action regarding the problem. For example, if a child disrupts the classroom, encourage parents to talk to the child about the incident. Thank parents for their time and encourage them to call or even visit you if they have any questions.

On the other side, Parents can manage a child’s poor behavior by remaining calm when hearing about a teacher’s assessment of the child’s behavior. It’s important for parents to ask specifics about the child’s behavior and to ask what can be done to improve the child’s behavior both in school and at home.

Finally, teachers should frequently give clear guidelines for pupils’ behavior. Ensure that the kids understand the limitations and expectations of the classroom. Encourage them to participate in class because active learning behaviors reduce classroom behavioral problems.
