Everyone desires successes in the true sense of the word. This desire is found in all levels of life—young and old, rich and poor, male and female. Teachers are no exception. In fact, all are obsessed with success. But there are times, when no matter how one tries, she can’t just hold it in her palm. It so elusive that she wonders whether she is destined for it or not…
Success is for everyone, not just for a favored few. But then, you have to work for it for success is doing, not wishing. If you merely wish without combining it with hard work and extra effort, failure will be the result. Doing produces results, and results in success. Don’t give excuses for failures. They are signs of weakness. Success-oriented people never give excuses; rather, they set goals and do their best to achieve. Be result-oriented, not an excuse giver.
Teachers should inject creativity into your work. Create situations that will make you achieve your goals. Make them interesting so you will become more enthusiastic about the activity. Remember, passive people never amount to something extraordinary, so drive passivity out of your system. Let your creativity permeate your whole self. Build it for it will build you up. If you can create a desire, you have the opportunity to fulfill that desire.
Another inner quality that brings enduring success is the virtuousness to never speak ill of anyone. We must love people, because many of these people will help us achieve success.
Teachers must make it a point to develop one’s mind. With it, we can go places. Never presume we too are too old to learn because education is a life-long process. It never ends.
Teachers never stop learning. Aim high. Someday, you will be in a higher position that you aspire. But remember, while aiming high; don’t forget the good qualities that a teacher should possess.
When you are delegated to do a task, give your best, but when you are the one who will delegate a task, delegate authority, but not responsibility. Responsibility to the task is owned by yourself. There are so many things that you can do to be successful.
As William Arthur Ward puts it, Success like happiness, is more than a destination—it is a venture; more than an achievement it is an attitude.
