Many aspects of learners’ lives have been impacted by recent technological advancements, including communication, collaboration, and learning. Teaching is a completely new phenomenon in the twenty-first century, and learning has never been done in the same way, with support for any learning style or preference.
A twenty-first-century teacher must be able to adapt to whatever comes their way, as well as to the ever-changing tools used in schools. Today, smartboards and tablets are replacing textbooks, and students can easily manipulate any learning device, so teachers must be familiar with both. In addition to technical proficiency, demonstrates the characteristics of a facilitator and contributor to meaningful learning.
21st-century skills are gaining traction as a means of improving teacher instructional quality. However, achieving desired improvements is hampered by lack of context-specific understanding of teaching practices and meaningful ways to support teacher professional development
However, for an effective media and film education, it is crucial to remember the importance of teacher training which will be used in classrooms to help students develop these new skills. Clearly, teachers’ knowledge and proficiency/skills acquired through intensive trainings are both critical factors in the smooth conduct of the teaching and learning process of our learners, change may be difficult to embrace…. but we all have to… After all, this is how life goes.
