Indeed, teaching is a profession that requires a lot of sacrifice. It is a lifetime commitment to ensure that the world doesn’t suffer from academic starvation.
Those are thoughts that keep me waking up at the earliest hour of the day just to prepare myself for a long fay of educating the natives of Aeta community at Sitio, Kanawan, Morong, Bataan. Each day, I have to brave kilometers of tricycle ride and miles of uphill trail walk just to arrive at Kanawan Integrated School, formerly Kanawan Elementary School.
I don’t mind the hardship and sacrifices I have to endure every day just as long as I see my students learn each day. And it brings joy to my heart to know that in every time a student learns is a time the world becomes better.
