Out of all…. I’m nothing but an ordinary.
In today’s society, it is very saddened that teaching profession has become an under rated type of profession. This may come as a huge disappointment to most, but truth be told, teachers are receiving less recognition out of our non-ending jobs to do.
I don’t know if there’s a need to change in profession name because there’s really more than teaching loads to do. Other than teaching, there’s tons of paper work on the table, quarterly class innovations, being physical worker to school, and most of all, balancer of different family cultures and beliefs inside the classroom.
No need to mention for personal issues of a teacher, sometimes it really affects on the way he/she balances all the unending jobs that requires her over all presence.
Going back, one of the reasons why I wanted to be a teacher is that I thought I can influence my students to have the quality of thinking they must have on their age. I want them to have the urge in understanding preparing for the danger of the future if not planned beforehand. That’s why it is a must to incorporate life skills in all subjects rather than anything else.
But sad to say, they’re refusing.
Today’s generation is very different due to tons of destruction. At their early age, they already have their own standards on who can influence them not nearly understanding that it cannot help them in facing step-by-step real-life solutions to what the future may bring.
They are refusing to listen to teachers because they listen more to social media influencers.
They are refusing because the parents are also refusing to get their child be educated.
And what’s for worst, they’re refusing because of poverty.
With this, they cannot see themselves going somewhere else….
Other than poverty to financial needs, there is poverty to learn, poverty of support, poverty to understand oneself are the burdens our learners maybe facing right now.
And never they know and trust, teachers can heal them all…
Anxiously saying, they may see their teacher ordinary not because the teacher is not doing his/her part, but they just won’t be helped out of the toxicity of the society.
The poverty just keeps on getting stronger because unconsciously, they are embracing it.
Again, it’s a never-ending horizon to pursue because of catastrophe given by the society itself.
Be that as it may, but I’m telling this for everyone to understand that the papers don’t need us—STUDENTS ARE!
