Today’s special studies standards share assumptions about learning with multiple sources of education.

Information gathering from primary and secondary sources in order to answer questions in any subject becomes imperative.

Specially true in this age of information literacy where an educated person needs to master inquiry or problem-solving skills.

Teachers can plan the questions to be answered but the students can also be given the option to do so. Students could use the framework of questions designed by the teachers. This indicate the information that they should look for.

Social Studies teachers should bear in mind that the complex story of human civilization should be told within the context of three related and integrated points of view namely: 1. Location 2. Environment 3. Chronology.

Students should acquire five inquiry skills in order to do an outstanding project. 1. Ask geographic questions. 2. Acquire information 3. Organize information 4. Analyze geographic information 5.Answer Social Studies questions
