It is clear that advancements in technology have influenced the way we live.  Since it has been accepted norm, these technological advances can be used in education and in molding the learners.

Adopting technological developments can have a positive impact in the learning capabilities of the pupils.  With more pupils getting visual learners, it would be beneficial, even to teachers, to be acquainted with technology and make possible the attainment of knowledge employing technology.

            Class lessons can be presented using Powerpoint Presentations.  Although the process will require more hours of preparation, it will mean better result and less material expenses.  Lessons can be more interesting if art characters can be included in the presentation.  That will be more appealing to the learners.  Likewise, it will enable more interactive since other electronic gadgets used by the learners can be connected to the computer enabling them to learn more while enjoying their gadgets.

            Teachers can then be less reliant on the traditional learning materials like chalkboards, chalk and flip charts.  This will also create a healthier classroom since chalk dust can cause respiratory disorders.

            Instead of fretting over the seemingly addiction of learners to computer gadgets, it is advisable to take advantage of the situation and use technology as a learning aid.  Learners will certainly be thankful that they are finally speaking the same language with their teacher.

In a study conducted by the University of Washington, it was concluded that technology can deepen student learning by supporting instructional objectives.  However, it can be challenging to select the “best” technological tools while not losing sight of your goals for student learning.
