In this fast-changing environment, the use of ICT has become widespread during this pandemic era. In today’s world, virtual classrooms become the reality of the education system. Teachers and students often use technology in distance learning. Many computer and smartphone apps are somehow being forced to use to continue education in online distance learning. Moreover, some pupils are less privileged because they could not afford to buy gadgets. Nevertheless, technological advancements may have an impact on classroom dynamics in face-to-face classes. Philippine education appears to be struggling from a lack of technical resources as well as classroom shortages. Truth cannot be unfolded that despite education’s best efforts, most resources are still unable to offer the things that are required to achieve high-quality education. Teachers, school officials, and students may face a variety of issues in the classroom.
Technology opens new possibilities. However, teachers will not be able to provide it if technological resources are not available in the classroom at all and if they are not well-trained to undertake advanced technology training. Setting Vision and Mission are the foundations of every institution and organization because these guide institutions to pursue a common objective. However, technological advancements could not be prevented, and education’s mission had to be modified to meet the demands of these developments. For example, learners now require more technological aspects, so DepEd must ensure that more technology-based resources are used that really is stimulating to learners. Furthermore, today’s teachers are more interested in implementing and applying ICT, particularly in the context of learning action cells via webinars and OLAC, in order to become more adaptable and up-to-date in their use of technology.
As a result, on a larger scale, education should deliver quality and competitive learners with the aid of these innovations to satisfy the needs of the future rather than the society today. The government and all stakeholders should increase funding and support for the use of technology, which is currently and will be in high demand in the country in the future.
